Uzbekistan bought 9 tons of gold in June, remaining the leader in sales for the six months
Ashkent, Uzbekistan (Uzdaily.uz) - according to the World Gold Council (WGC), in June 2025, world central banks increased gold reserves by 22 tons. In the first half of the year, clean purchases amounted to 123 tons, which is only slightly less than the indicator for the same period last year (130 tons).
The leader in June became Uzbekistan, which acquired 9 tons, interrupting the four -month sales period, but retained the status of the largest gold seller in the first half of the year (about 19 tons).
In second place was the National Bank of Kazakhstan, which increased reserves by 7 tons. In other countries, the volume of procurement was relatively modest.
The largest netir of gold in 2025 is the National Bank of Poland, which replenished reserves for 67 tons. Significant volumes were also purchased by Azerbaijan (35 tons) and Kazakhstan (22 tons).
