Uzbekistan took 10th place in the global gold production rating
Uzbekistan, Tashkent - AN Podrobno.uz. Uzbekistan strengthened its position in the global gold market, taking tenth place among the largest manufacturers. In 2024, the country mined 129 tons of metal, which is about 3.5 % of the global volume.
China, Russia and Australia remain prey leaders, Canada and the USA follow them.
World gold mining increased by only half a percent, reaching 3.6 thousand tons.
The main consumer is a jewelry industry that uses metal to create jewelry. Despite the growth of world prices, expenses on jewelry increased by almost 9 %, exceeding $ 140 billion.
Recall that in Uzbekistan the increase in gold prices continues. As of September 4, a stack ingot cost 145.5 million soums, which became a new record.
